Narragansett Beer Brings Neighbor Day Back to Providence

Providence Flea vendors, three local bands, free pet portraits, beer, and community groups fill the brewery on October 17

Posted

Narragansett Beer has been saying “Hi Neighbor!” for generations, and on October 17, the brewery is giving the phrase a full afternoon of its own. Neighbor Day returns to Tockwotton Street from 1-6pm, bringing together Providence Flea vendors, live music, community organizations, food, games, and plenty of dogs. The event is free and open to the public, with the brewery’s beer garden serving as home base for the day.

Music starts at 1pm with The Quahogs, followed by Highwater Haulers at 3pm and High Planes at 5pm. Between sets, Providence Flea will fill the brewery with local vendors selling Rhode Island-made goods and other finds, while community organizations set up alongside them to share more about their work around the state.

Dogs get their own reason to stop by. From 2-4:30pm, guests can bring their pups for free pet portraits in partnership with the Providence Animal Rescue League, with monetary or product donations encouraged to support the organization. Portraits are available while supplies and time allow, and the event flyer lists Carly Rae Photography behind the camera.

The rest of the afternoon keeps things loose, with games, taproom food specials, and beer available throughout the brewery. That makes Neighbor Day less of a sit-down program and more of a come-and-go neighborhood hang, where visitors can catch a band, browse a few vendor tables, grab something to eat, and stay as long as the afternoon allows.

Narragansett Neighbor Day takes place Saturday, October 17 from 1-6pm at Narragansett Brewery, 271 Tockwotton Street in Providence. Admission is free, and guests must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.  For more information and event updates, visit NarragansettBeer.com.
