A Feast to Be Thankful For

Newport Restaurant Group serves up stress-free holiday dining across Rhode Island

If the idea of basting, baking, and battling over oven space sounds less than festive, Newport Restaurant Group has Thanksgiving covered. From Providence to Newport and beyond, their family of beloved local restaurants is serving up special menus and take-home feasts that make celebrating deliciously simple.

At Iron Works in Warwick, the holiday spirit starts early with a three-course dine-in menu featuring seasonal favorites like Butternut Squash Bisque, Puff Pastry Wrapped Brie, and a traditional turkey dinner piled high with all the trimmings. Guests can end on a sweet note with Pumpkin Cheesecake or Cast Iron Bread Pudding before heading home happily stuffed. For those who would rather host without the hassle, Iron Works also offers a complete Thanksgiving dinner for four to-go, complete with turkey, sides, salad, and dessert, ready to heat and serve.

Down in Newport, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar brings a coastal twist to the holiday with its signature seafood dishes and a family-style Thanksgiving feast for four. The spread features Helger’s Farm turkey, roasted vegetables, sourdough stuffing with chestnuts, and your choice of apple or pumpkin pie, plus a bottle of wine for good measure.

In Tiverton, The Boat House Restaurant offers a traditional turkey dinner to-go, along with an à la carte “Thanksgiving Pantry” menu for families who like to mix and match. Think Shrimp Cocktail, Cider-Glazed Brussels Sprouts, and Apple Cider Donut Bread Pudding, because a little extra never hurt anyone.

Hemenway’s in Providence is keeping its doors open for dine-in guests while also extending its full catering menu for those planning to feast at home. Across town, Waterman Grille is offering Thanksgiving to-go only this year, with a meal for four that includes Roast Turkey, Holiday Harvest Salad, and either Apple Crisp or Pumpkin Pie.

And for those who believe dinner tastes better with a view, 22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille in Newport will welcome guests from noon to 7 p.m. with holiday specials and its signature menu. For reservations and additional details, visit newportrestaurantgroup.com.
