Step aside Shamrock Shake – Matcha Overnight Oats is a green treat that’s both delicious and high in antioxidants. This easy-to-make recipe pairs the delicate flavors of the green tea powder with bright and citrusy lemon and sweet honey. It comes together in just minutes, and can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to four days. Serve on its own or with crunchy granola for a satisfying start to the morning.

 

Matcha Overnight Oats

 
Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp flaxseed meal optional

  tsp matcha powder

  tsp honey, maple syrup,
or agave nectar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

¼ cup plain Greek yogurt,
or vegan alternative

1 cup milk of choice

 
Steps

Add all of the ingredients to a large jar or bowl and mix well.

Transfer mixture to mason jars or individual serving tupperwares, and cover with a lid or plastic wrap.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 4 days. Serve with granola, fresh fruit, nuts, or any other toppings. Feel free to add more sweetener to taste if desired!
