What better way to spend a summer weekend than with a unique arts market? Field of Artisans will be popping up at different spaces all summer long, from Marina Park to South Kingston Town Beach. Each market will feature artisans of all kinds, including musicians, photographers and designers. You’ll also be able to take classes and workshops with artists to improve your own talents. Weekends aren’t enough? Check out their Night Market series in collaboration with Providence Share Space on the third Thursday of the month. Saturdays and Sundays. 11-4 pm. Newport Gallery Night

Now that summer has officially started, it’s the perfect time to explore the gorgeous sites around downtown Newport. On the Newport Gallery Night tours, you’ll be able to visit over 24 different galleries, museums and cultural institutions. Various galleries will also feature lectures, openings and hands-on demonstrations. The tours run every second Thursday of each month through October, so you have plenty of time to see all that Newport’s art scene has to offer. Thursdays. 5-8 pm. Providence Flea

If you’re hunting for some vintage treasures this summer, the Providence Flea is the place for you. Inspired by the markets found in NYC, the Flea brings a bustling atmosphere to our capital. You’ll be able to browse a range of items including furniture, fashion, crafts, art and more. Complete with a view of the river and the beautiful Providence skyline, the Flea is the perfect spot to enjoy the summer weather while purchasing some hidden gems. Bristol/Warren Art Night
Explore the galleries of Bristol and Warren with the Bristol/Warren Art Night. Every last Thursday, you’ll be able to take tours of galleries and open studios. Walk, bike, drive or ride the trolley; the choice is yours. The event includes live music, theater performances and art demonstrations. Of course, there will also be wine to sample, because what’s an art night without some tasty wine? Each night will feature something different, so check out their website for all the details. Providence Artisans Market
Craving some crafts and fine art? The Providence Artisans Market, Providence’s only artist-run market, has got you covered. With everything from ceramics to jewelry, this market will be a treasure trove for any shopper. While you browse the amazing art from local talent, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful setting of Lippitt Park, and if you get hungry while you’re shopping, you can also stop by the Hope Street Farmers Market or pick up something quick at a food truck. Providence Gallery Night
It’s no secret that Providence is packed with talent; from painters and sculptors to musicians and performers, we’ve got it all. You’ll be able to see all of the local talent at Providence Gallery Night, which takes place every third Thursday of the month. The galleries will feature everything from traditional art to more contemporary installations. Choose the guided tour or explore on your own, and join the others who come out for this 20-year-old tradition. Thursdays. Start at One Regency Plaza.
