Accidental Sisters, a women’s a cappella vocal ensemble, will present “Imagining Peace”, a concert of global repertoire ranging from the mountain and river ballads of the American folk tradition to pieces from Palestine, Israel, Native America and Great Britain. Also included are pieces from the pop tradition by Sweet Honey in the Rock, Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Dolly Parton and the Wailin’ Jennys.
This concert, cosponsored by the Jamestown Ukraine Relief Project, is the group's first following a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. Proceeds will go to the Jamestown Ukraine Relief Project for projects to optimize the health, well- being, and education of children impacted by war and separated from their families, homes and communities in Ukraine.
